e-TRANSPORT CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION
The biennial e-Transport Conference and Exhibition (Confex) is the premier ITS event to network with key decision-makers and ITS professionals and exploit business opportunities in South Africa’s booming ITS market.
The theme for the 6th e-Transport Conference and Exhibition is Sustainable Mobility: The 2010 Legacy. It takes place on 18 and 19 May 2011 at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg.
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS – ITS SA WORKSHOPS
Interested parties are invited to submit abstracts for the following ITS SA Workshop.
- The challenges for ITS to make our roads safer and save lives
- February 2011 – Durban

2nd IRF Middle East Regional Congress November 29—December 2, 2010
Interested parties are invited to submit abstracts for the 2nd IRF Middle East Regional Congress. Abstracts should include the objectives and the aim of the study, description of the techniques or methods used and a presentation of the results or conclusions in an informative and concise manner.
Deadline for submission of abstracts is 10 October 2010.

Bakwena Platinum Corridor Concessionaire (Pty) Ltd

The Platinum Toll Highway consists of a 95 kilometre section of the N1 running from Pretoria northwards to the town of Bela Bela [Warmbaths] and a 290 kilometre section of the N4 running from Pretoria westwards to the Botswana border.
During the first four years of the concession, the Concessionaire was required to undertake a series of initial construction works that include the upgrading of the existing roads and the construction of two new sections of the N4. The cost of the Initial Construction Works is approximately R 2 billion.
Throughout the remainder of the concession, the Concessionaire will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Platinum Highway and for executing Upgrade Works in response to traffic growth.
